The Norwegian health system: Breast Cancer Awareness

October is breast cancer awareness month. Tune in for a session with stories, insight and learn breast self-examination techniques from a specialist.

We are excited to invite you to our Breast Cancer Awareness event on October 30th in collaboration with Stavanger Cancer Association and PwN. This special event is dedicated to raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and building a supportive community for women.

Event Highlights:
- Inspirational talk by a local breast cancer survivor
- Educational segment with a healthcare professional sharing the latest insights on prevention and   treatment
- Interactive workshop on breast self-examination techniques
- Networking with local support groups and other women in the community

Speakers

Camilla Gram

Camilla Gram is the Regional manager at the Norwegian Cancer Society in Rogaland. The society works to prevent and fight cancer and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Ingvil Mjåland

Senior oncologist, leader of the breast cancer group in Stavanger, researcher with focus on radiotherapy in breast cancer. Member of the Norwegian Breast Cancer Group, responsible for guidelines on diagnostics and treatment of breast cancer.

Tone Hjetland

Tone was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2023 at 47 years old. Since recovery she has been passionate about spreading breast cancer awareness. She is currently participating in two clinical research studies related to breast cancer. Tone works as a Sales Manager in Halliburton.
