Cycling- fun and safety!

Being able to ride a bicycle provides a great deal of freedom, both as a means of transport in everyday life as well as leisure.

Trygg Trafikk is an organization that works with traffic safety, for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists alike.  Being able to ride a bicycle is both a physical issue and an understanding of the traffic picture.   Trygg Trafikk has a venue called  "Sykkelgården", Sandnes Sykkel og Aktivitetsgård, located at Dyre Vaas vei 61, 4317 Sandnes.

Trygg Trafikk has kindly offered to  host this event for Stavanger Chamber International members (adults), making sure more people who want to better their bicycling skills are able to practice in a safe environment.  The target group for this session are beginners and people who are at an early stage of bicycling, with the aim being increased skills for balance and safety.

Trygg Trafikk has very skilled instructors. At this event you will meet Gunn Rita Dahle Flesjå,  many times world Champion in terrain cycling. She knows what there is to know about balance, and regional manager Ingrid I. Mæland,   This is a unique opportunity, and the session will take place in English.  Bring you own bicycle, helmet and dress properly due to weather conditions.   Trygg Trafikk has two bicycles for loan, if you still don't have your own bicycle.

You are welcome to bring your family, and we will have staff who will entertain the kids while parents are practicing.  Teaching is only for adults this time. If parents are safe riding a bike, they might be good teachers for their kids after the session, and bring kids back for practice later on.

First come, first serve, max 10 participants. Please let us know if questions, Inger Tone Ødegård.

We will forward a note to all participants upon the event.
