Inspirational Entrepreneurship! Growth is very important at all levels, and sustainable development is a driver in most companies, communities and countries. Stavanger has an entrepreneurial mindset, not only within energy, but also technology, the food industry and others.

ENTREPRENEUR 2020 will focus especially on companies working on green growth and sustainable development. The main concept is to invest time together across industry sectors, research and the student body, making sure everyone is involved and able to deliberate over future opportunities and business.

Design Thinking is design for non-designers. This talk will give you some inspirational takeaways on how you can make changes on how you do business, from a deeper understanding of the clients’ needs to launch of new products and services, much earlier than you have ever experienced before.

Speakers

Harald Sævareid

Harald Sævareid is an designer with 19 years of experience of helping organizations from private and public sector across a vast range of industries in improving their products, systems and services. He is keen on creating new opportunities that brings user-friendliness to the end user, better profit for the client and a lower impact on our planet. This spring he is a co-lecturer and mentor in the new design course at University of Stavanger. Recently, he has joined the consultancy Akuna, supporting clients towards sustainable growth by applying the right technology and business model and a human-centred approach.

Gabriela Roth

Gabi is currently the marketing person behind Creator Makerspace, a prototyping workshop in Forus. She came to Norway all the way from Brazil with one goal in mind: to join the innovation ecosystem and make a difference! She has been a community leader, organizer and facilitator for different events, and has an extensive background in business, sales and marketing. Always ready to jump on the next adventure, she believes everyone can be an innovator!

Omar Retterstøl Langset

Omar is the Deputy CTO at Altibox, the second largest provider of internet and entertainment services in Norway and 10 years running winner of the independent EPSI awards – having the most satisfied customers. Omar has been part of the company throughout its evolution from 25.000 to 600.000 customers over the past 15 years and has been one of the pioneers of putting user experience and design thinking in the forefront of the continuous development of Altibox´ services.
