Introduction to skiing in Norway

Cross country skiing is deeply rooted in the Norwegian culture and a sure recipe for fun! Stavanger Chamber International welcome you to an introduction to all sorts of skiing and winter activities, and a little bit about bicycling. Race manager of local Sirdal Skimaraton, Lars Vagle, will teach you everything from ski types, snowboards, ski waxing, ski technique and give you lots of practical tips. Including what is the proper clothing for wintersports and what is the correct equipment for you. Balance is all important when skiing, so you´ll have the opportunity to test out balance abilities as well. Sledges and ice skating are winter activities too. You'll receive directions to some nice areas for practice and where you can enjoy nature at the same time. Maybe this will be your next hobby?
