Stavanger has inhabitants from 181 countries. It is important that all newcomers to the region, whether they come from other places in Norway or other countries, are introduced to some networks that can be of great benefit both professionally and privately.

The purpose of this meeting is to make sure you get to know about different social and professional networks and activities, and get involved in the local community as soon as possible. If you are new to the region, or know someone new, please invite them along to this event. You will be introduces to different social and professional networks, Stavanger Turistforening (outdoor life in Norway), SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers), Social Cooking and U37 Tech and U37- Scale up and SAPS Stavanger.

Networking and new friendships are crucial to well-being and further development.

Speakers

Inger Tone Ødegård

Strategy director at Stavanger Chamber of Commerce. The Stavanger Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Norway's largest Chamber and Business organisation. Since its establishment in 1836, the organization has worked for its member companies, ensuring that the region has the attributes needed to make it a preferred region to live and work in. Stavanger Chamber is the regions largest organiser of business meetings and seminars in both Norwegian and English.

Tale Klingsheim

Tale Foldøy Klingsheim is head of hiking trips for adults, as well as the youth group, and schoolprojects at Stavanger Turistforening. She has a masters degree in wilderness therapy from the US, and has also lived in France, Vietnam, Palestine, New Zealand and Australia. As a passionate skier and hiker, she has a great deal of experience with outdoor activity in Norway as well as from 12 years lived abroad.

Isaias Castro Armendáriz

Graduated Petroleum Engineer, specialized in Molecular Thermodynamics by the National Autonomous University of Mexico UNAM. Worked as Financial Engineering & Risk Management for the Energy Sector in Mexico. Currently Master student in Well Engineering and Drilling Technology at University of Stavanger. PR, Communications and Events Chairperson of the SPE UiS Student Chapter, Member of SPE since 2011.

Larissa de Farias Nunes

Larissa is a master student specializing in Drilling Technology at the University of Stavanger and has graduated as a Petroleum Engineer at Santa Catarina's State University - UDESC in Brazil (2018). She is a Society of Petroleum Engineers' volunteer since 2013 and has been President and Vice-President of SPE - UDESC Student Chapter (2014 - 2016). Currently, she is the Secretary of SPE - Stavanger Student Chapter and part of the board for 2020 - 2021.

Tamara Kuklina

Tamara was born in Novosibirsk in Russia and just after finishing her master study in mathematics got a dream job at Schlumberger in Bergen, Norway in 2007.

She spent six years in the oil industry working for Schlumberger, Logtek and Statoil. When Tamara moved to Stavanger in 2008 she got engaged in cultural life in the city by volunteering on different festivals and events. Volunteering helped her understand the Norwegians, practice the language and make many new friends. She quit oil business in 2012, and started her company Social Cooking.

Hervé Gaudin

Founder of Adexpat, (international mobility and employment solutions consultancy) and President of Stavanger Active People Society (SAPS). Hervé was born in France, lived for ten years in the UK, and has been living for ten years in Norway with his wife from India. He studied International Marketing and Human Ressources and has a strong interest in intercultural matters.

In 2004 he started Adexpat, a global business to help companies manage their employee HR in foreign countries, and in 2013 he and others created SAPS to help new comers make friends while enjoying various activities.
