Midsummer event at Fjøløy and Utstein

Sankthans is the Norwegian midsummer celebration - and what better way to celebrate than exploring beautiful views and great food?

This afternoon will be a combination of history, culture, hiking, and new friendships on the longest and brightest day of the year. We start off with a visit to the venerable Utstein Monastery, Norway´s best preserved medieval monastery. Then we continue to  Utstein Kloster Hotel, which offers delicious tastes in beautiful surroundings by the sea. We end the evening off with great views and beautiful sceneries at Fjøløy fort. 

Important information: 
🚩 There is no public transport to Utstein. We have rent a privat BUS (VIPPS NOK100 to 515431 (Næringsforeningen)
🚩 We have reserved 35 seats at the restaurant at Utstein Kloster Hotel and need a quick sign-ups to evaluate if we need to secure seating for more.
🚩Everyone pays for their own food and drink. 

Program:

15:45 Meet at Byterminalen, in front of the railway station (I will bring a Norwegian flag to be visible)
16:00 Departure from P-lot Byterminalen
16:40 Arrival Utstein Monastery, Mosterøyveien 802, Rennesøy
17:30 Heading to Utstein Kloster Hotel f
18.00 Food and beverages - reserved for 35. Everyone book their own food at the venue, menu here. 
20.00 We drive to Fjøløy Fort
20.10 Walk and talk and hopefully a lovely sunset:) We have a surprise along the walk!
21.30 Departure from Fjøløy
22.00 Back in Stavanger

You'll receive an informative update prior to the event, including transport.

Dresscode: we will mostly be outside, check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. It could be smart to bring some extra clothing in a small backpack to be prepared if the weather happens to change or it gets chilly in the evening.
