Creating Impact
Hanne Berentzen and the Stavanger Chamber of Commerce have launched a gender equality programme.

Creating Impact

While on a trip to the US Hanne Berentzen realised that we might not be as good as we like to think we are regarding gender equality in Norway. Now five years later, she and her fellow co-founders are finally ready to present a new regional equality programme.

The new gender equality programme 50/50 is ambitious; a minimum of 40% of either gender in management and boardrooms in the Stavanger region by 2024. An ambitious and binding programme aimed at the business sector to ensure that 40% of either gender is employed in management positions and the boardrooms within four years.
– We want to put our region on the map. That’s why we need a binding commitment from the industry. Enough talk. We need action, Hanne Berentzen explains.
